Petroleum Jelly Technical Details
Petroleum Jelly under the brand name Vaseline is a derivative of crude oil, which is obtained during the distillation process of heavy crude oil, in order to produce pharmaceutical and health grades, it is completely refined and should be removed from waste materials completely. The cosmetic and pharmaceutical grade (Pharma Grade) of Vaseline is completely white and odorless.
Vaseline is a product suitable for many uses, mainly due to its good coverage for the treatment of burn wounds and skincare products.
PETROLEUM JELLY APPLICATIONS
Vaseline is produced in three grades: pharmaceutical, cosmetic and industrial grade, and is used in various industries.
Vaseline cosmetic grade is used in the cosmetics industry to produce a variety of eye creams, hand and face creams, and cosmetics (lipsticks and body lotions, etc.) to produce a variety of soaps.
In the pharmaceutical grade, Vaseline is mainly used to produce various ointments for burns. Also, Vaseline of the pharmaceutical grade is used to treat dry skin, cracked hands and feet, cracked lips, and cracked heels.
Vaseline Hygienic Grade would be added with Aloe Vera compounds, honey wax, and vitamins E and A along with aromatic essential oils for daily use.
In industrial grade, Vaseline is used as a lubricant in industry, produces grease, and also stainless the pieces of equipment and devices that are made of iron in the industry.
PETROLEUM JELLY FORMULATION
Petroleum Jelly is a heavy hydrocarbon compound that is an oil derivative that is initially a smelly and dark jelly that is refined in several stages and the bad color and odor are removed.
Vaseline is refined by manufacturers in different stages and methods, so a specific formula and production method cannot be stated. Vaseline is a heavy chain of carbon, hydrogen, and Nitrogen that is mainly produced from heavy oils and solid paraffin (microcrystalline wax). Vaseline mainly contains 60% white mineral oil (a by-product of refining crude oil), 20% microcrystalline wax, and 20% paraffin wax.
PETROLEUM JELLY STORAGE
Vaseline should be stored in the original container. Keep the container of Vaseline tightly closed and store it in a dry place and protect it from moisture.

Vaseline packing would be in drums with a metal ring (New or reconditioned drums).
